Some oil tank security products on the market secure just the fill point of an oil tank, when in fact most oil tanks have two potential extraction points – the fill point, and the inspection point. Tank Arm (double lock) secures both. Tank Arm also comes with a vent cover where appropriate, which secures a third exposed part of the oil tank.

An alternative solution to oil tank security is an oil tank alarm that omits a noise when oil is being removed – effective if the noise is heard and police are called, but if not, the thieves are likely to carry on. With Tank Arm fitted, the oil tank becomes a difficult target, and opportunist thieves are likely to go elsewhere - regardless of whether the house holder is present.

Tank Arm is robustly manufactured, and made in the UK

All Tank Arms are made from 5mm thick solid steel. The steel is zinc plated and assembled with a stainless steel tamper proof rivet, providing an anti-corrosion barrier so the arms will never rust or seize. The 2" aluminium cap is attached to the arm with a hardened steel pin, welded at both ends, to prevent removal.

Tank Arm is easy to install

Simply remove caps on your tank, place the base plate over the neck of your tank inspection hole, and screw the supplied cap onto the filling point. Join the arms together, then fit a padlock of your choice through the holes. The base plate is then screwed to your tank using the one way tamper proof screws.

Tank Arm can be fitted without drilling, however some people may find it easier to drill pilot holes first. Read our basic installation instructions here, although you will receive full installation instructions with your purchase.
